LeBron James had frustrating 6-word answer to retirement question
· Yahoo Sports
LeBron James' future with the Los Angeles Lakersbeyond this season remains in doubt. So, it's only natural to see his general future with the NBA on the whole become a (kind of) pertinent topic, particularly for young superstars like the San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama, during the 2026 NBA All-Star Game's festivities.
The arguable GOAT had a chance to comment on this retirement matter on Sunday. Predictably, even though he's 41 years old and will very likely not be wearing Lakers purple and gold past this summer, James still had very few meaningful updates. This, even though he had time to effectively prank the internet with his "Second Decision" nonsense.

Funny how concise answers like this are all James has to offer. How unsurprising:
"When I know, you'll guys know" - LeBron James says of retirement.

I recognize this is James' personal journey. It's ultimately his prerogative to hold the cards close to his vest. He's free to approach this situation however he wants. He has earned that patience as much. Nonetheless, he knows each of his fans (and haters) is waiting on some sort of announcement so they can properly celebrate (and hate) him. His inevitable retirement from organized basketball is a BIG deal to EVERYONE in the hoops world.
Here's hoping he understands that dynamic soon enough.
