Three takeaways from LSU baseball's win over Dartmouth
· Yahoo Sports
LSU baseball didn't get off to a good start vs Dartmouth, but the Tigers turned it around for a strong finish and sealed a 5-2 victory. Casan Evans got the start on the mound for the Tigers, but Dartmouth was able to score two runs on him in the first three innings to take a 2-0 lead.
Although he gave up two runs, it was not the worst night in the world for Evans. He was pulled from the game after 5.1 innings of work, giving up two runs on two hits, 10 strikeouts, and three walks. The strikeout number is great, but he has gotta work on the walks and wild pitches.

After Evans was pulled from the game, Gavin Guidry entered and did what he always does. He shoved. In 3.2 innings of work, he gave up zero runs on one hit, five strikeouts, and zero walks. Guidry was able to get the win for the game, moving his record to 3-0 this year. Here are three takeaways from today's game.

The LSU bats were only able to manage five hits against Dartmouth tonight, with two of those hits coming from Derek Curiel. Thankfully, five hits were all the Tigers needed.
Great game for Curiel

When LSU needed him the most, Derek Curiel came through with a two-for-five night with two RBI to lead them to the win. It has been a slow start for him, but tonight was a strong night.
Gavin Guidry is in a league of his own right now

I don't know if there is anyone else in college baseball as hot as Gavin Guidry is right now. Guidry has now pitched eight full innings and has not allowed a single run while allowing three hits, no walks, and 16 strikeouts.
