Per an ESPN report from Jeremy Fowler, Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery "wants out." According to Fowler, the Lions would want a "decent Day 3 pick" in exchange for Montgomery, such as a fifth-rounder in the upcoming 2026 NFL draft.
The 28-year-old Montgomery is entering the second-to-last year of his current deal and would be owed $6 million by any acquiring team. Seattle was mentioned as a potential candidate if the Seahawks can't re-sign Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III.
