The Blues totally revamped their frontline with five attacking signings last summer, but it’s clear they are looking for more.
Chelsea already have Geovany Quenda and Emmanuel Emegha arriving at the end of the season, but it’s thought they want another addition.
Morgan Rogers mentioned as name Chelsea are interested in
Having done no business in January, Chelsea are once again expected to be active in the summer window,, with a number of positions needing to be filled.
It’s no secret a left winger could be a target having looked into the possibility of Antoine Semenyo, with Alejandro Garancho and Jamie Gittens both disappointing.
However, Jacobs have confirmed the Blues are in fact looking for a “central versatile” attacker and gave a name he’s heard.
“Chelsea want a ‘central versatile attacker’ in the summer. I don’t think an out and out left winger is on their radar because they pitched to Quenda to be a left winger,” he told Alex Goldberg on Twitch.
“Morgan Rogers is the name I keep hearing.”
Chelsea were linked with Rogers last summer, but a move never materialised, and the Blues didn’t even get to the stage of making an offer.
Rogers has scored ten goals and registered seven assists in 40 appearances this season, and is under contract until 2031.
Chelsea face important summer window
With the business done last summer not looking great outside of Joao Pedro, it’s vital the Blues get it right this summer.
It’s believed Chelsea are looking to add another midfielder to help ease the burden on Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
