Steelers G Isaac Seumalo could be odd man out on offensive line
· Yahoo Sports
For the past three seasons, guard Isaac Seumalo has been the veteran leader of a very young Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line. Now 32 years old and set to hit free agency, Seumalo and the Steelers are at a crossroads and with Seumalo set to hit free agency, it feels like his time in Pittsburgh is done.

This is a sentiment shared by Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly. He was on 93.7 The Fan and said he believes Seumalo is out and it's because the team worries about his body breaking down and they don't know how much he's got left in the tank.
"I don't think it's [Isaac Seumalo]'s choice; I think it's the Steelers' choice on that one," Kaboly said. "I think they believe he's on the brink of falling apart, yes. He didn't practice a lot."
Seumalo missed seven games over the last two seasons. And as Kaboly said, the team did all they could to keep him rested and healthy by not having him practice. Seumalo was one of the most common names on the team's practice report, even when healthy, for vet days off.
If the Steelers don't re-sign Seumalo, the team could seek out a stopgap guard in free agency to start in 2026 and address the longterm need via the 2026 NFL draft.
