Barcelona hand Andreas Christensen contract ultimatum
· Yahoo Sports
Barcelona have decided to make a contract offer to Andreas Christensen and have been in negotiations for a little while now with the Dane. The Catalans are now keen for an agreement to be reached and could pull the plug on the deal if they don’t receive an answer soon.
According to Marca, Barcelona don’t want talks to drag on any longer and have effectively “made a final offer, which they will not budge from.” Simply put, if a response doesn’t arrive soon, Barca will move on.

The report says that Barcelona have offered a two-year deal that contains various performance-related bonuses, with the club clearly mindful of his recent injury record.
Barcea want to pay Christensen half of his current salary but there are bonuses depending on the amount of matches he plays over the next two season.
There are specific bonuses that Christensen can hit depending on whether he plays between 30-50% of matches or more.
Indeed if Christensen ends up playing half of Barca’s games, his salary will increase by more than 50%. Barca can also terminate his contract if the defender fails to play 30% of games.
Christensen is currently sidelined with a serious knee injury and it’s not know if he’ll play again this season. His last appearance came back in December in the Copa del Rey.
