What Premier League club are now thinking about selling ‘one of the best players’ in the division to Man United this summer

Everton have outlined their stance over a potential sale of Iliman Ndiaye amid newly established interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to Football Insider, the Toffees have closed off the prospect of selling their attacking talisman to the point they won’t even ‘entertain’ any proposals that could potentially arrive.

Everton might be cornered into sanctioning Ndiaye’s departure

Of course, most clubs would be saying the same in the lead-up to the window – Nottingham Forest don’t want to sell Elliot Anderson and Crystal Palace are desperate to keep hold of Adam Wharton, but it doesn’t mean they’ll be able to see out the transfer period with the players staying in their ranks.

Sides have to factor in the player’s requests as well, and, while Ndiaye hasn’t currently given any public inclination that he wants to leave Everton, you could understand him, at 26 years old, pushing for the chance to play in the Champions League, where he’s more than capable of making an impact.

That’s even more reason why United need to secure their spot in the competition next season, as it makes negotiations with targets considerably easier when having UCL football to offer – as proven by the likes of Liam Delap and Viktor Gyokeres rejecting Old Trafford moves last summer, albeit that has since proven to be a blessing in disguise.

How Ndiaye ended up at Everton

Rouen-born Ndiaye, who chose to represent Senegal at international level, returned to England in July 2024 following a year in France with Olympique Marseille.

Prior to his short stint at the Velodrome, he had spent three seasons with Sheffield United and was a fan favourite with the Yorkshire outfit by the time he left to join his boyhood club.

Since joining the Toffees in a £15 million deal, he has consistently been one of the most impactful and standout members of the squad. Jamie O’Hara even hailed him as ‘one of the best’ in the division earlier this campaign.

He is tied to the Hill Dickinson Stadium until June 2029.
