The Pittsburgh Steelers continue their pre-draft visits on Friday with four prospects visiting the facility. One of which is North Dakota State quarterback Cole Payton, who noted that he would be visiting the Steelers after he wrapped up his Pro Day. Additionally, the Steelers are hosting Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez.

Rodriguez led the Big 12 in tackles in each of the last two seasons. On top of that, he has 21.5 tackles for loss in that span and picked off four passes in 2025.

There is a big piece of connective tissue between Rodriguez and the Steelers, as his linebackers coach from Texas Tech, C.J. Ah You, is now the Steelers’ outside linebackers coach.

The other two names visiting Pittsburgh on Friday are Georgia Tech guard Keylan Rutledge and Washington cornerback Tacario Davis. Rutledge was named an All-ACC team selection in 2024. Davis picked off two passes in 2025 for the Huskies.
