According to NFL.com’s Chad Reuter, the Titans select Texas Tech outside linebacker David Bailey with the No. 4 overall pick in the draft.
“Bailey's excellent senior season locked up a top-five draft slot,” Reuter said. “The Titans need his superb combination of power and closing speed on the edge, even after trading for Jermaine Johnson II.”
Bailey is one of the top prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft class. His skills, as well as his ability to sack the quarterback are attractive selling points for the Titans to consider. Bailey led the FBS in sacks in 2025 with 14.5.
The Titans also select Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard (No. 35) in the second round, Cincinnati linebacker Jake Golday (No. 66) in the third round, as well as Kansas State center Sam Hecht (No. 101) in the fourth round.
Bernard went for 862 yards as well as seven touchdowns in 2025. Golday recorded 3.5 sacks, six tackles for loss as well as three passes defensed last season. Hecht allowed just seven total pressures on the year.
More bodies for the Titans’ pass rush is an expedient move for Tennessee, following the departure of defensive end Arden Key in free agency. Surrounding Titans quarterback Cam Ward with quality weapons is of paramount importance this offseason, which Bernard, Golday as well as Hecht have the potential to be at the NFL level.
