The Patriots have a solid opportunity to land a young pass rusher in the first round of the NFL draft, thanks to the depth of this position group. With New England holding the No. 31 pick, it could be an ideal spot to pick up a talented pass rusher who might fall during the selection process.
CBS Sports NFL analyst Pete Prisco published a mock draft on Monday, predicting that the New England Patriots will select Clemson's pass rusher T.J. Parker with the 31st overall pick.
"Edge help is needed, and Parker has some juice," Prisco wrote. "Parker didn't play as well last year as he did in 2024, but the talent is there."
Parker spent three seasons playing for the Tigers, accumulating a total of 21.5 sacks over 39 games. In 2024, he recorded 11 sacks in 14 games, but his numbers took a hit last season, dropping to just five sacks, the lowest output of his Clemson career.
The Patriots should consider taking Parker if he’s still available, as he has the potential to develop into an elite pass rusher while working alongside one of the best defensive lines in the NFL.
