Isa Torres, Jazzy Francik lead No. 10 FSU softball to 8-0 win over UNF

No. 10 Florida State extended its winning streak to 18 games Tuesday night, rolling past North Florida 8–0 in five innings at JoAnne Graf Field. The Seminoles (29-4) remained perfect in ACC play and improved to 20-1 all-time against the Ospreys (26-10).

FSU struck immediately when leadoff hitter Isa Torres opened the bottom of the first with a home run to right field, her fifth of the season and 12th straight game with a hit.

Seminoles starter Jazzy Francik (12-1) was dominant in the circle, holding UNF to two hits while helping set up a smooth defensive effort, including a strikeout and a third‑inning double play that kept the Ospreys off the board.

Florida State broke the game open in the second. After Torres reached on a bunt single and a throwing error allowed Marin Heller to score, a sacrifice fly from Shelby McKenzie brought in Torres. Two batters later, Ashtyn Danley launched a two‑run homer to left to push the lead to 5–0.

Torres continued her standout night in the third, ripping a two‑run double to right to score Makenna Sturgis and Heller. Jaysoni Beachum followed with an RBI single, capping the Seminoles’ scoring at 8–0.

Makenna Reid and Bella Dimitrijevic closed the door in the fifth, combining for two strikeouts to secure the run‑rule victory.

Riding one of the nation’s longest winning streaks, Florida State returns to ACC play Friday to open a three‑game series at Clemson (22-10, 6-3). First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on ACCNX.
