Eddie Hall’s combat sports career will continue in the Misfits Boxing ring.

On Friday, Misfits Boxing announced that Hall will square off versus Tommy Fury, the younger brother of Tyson Fury and first man to defeat Jake Paul in the ring, in a main event match currently scheduled for AO Arena in Manchester, England on June 13. The event is titled “Beauty vs. The Beast” and also references the classic David vs. Goliath story in the trailer below:

Hall’s Misfits Boxing debut is a definite change of pace for both men. Hall — who won the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition — has only fought other giant strongmen. In 2022, Hall lost an exhibition boxing match to “The Mountain” Thor Bjornsson, while just last year Hall defeated KSW veteran and accomplished lifter Mariusz Pudzianowski in just 30 seconds via knockout (watch it here) in MMA.

His highly anticipated scrap with Dillon Danis will have to wait.

As for Fury, he’s never faced a giant retired strongman! A veteran of the influencer boxing and reality dating scene alike, Fury holds key wins over Paul, KSI, and Anthony Taylor. Undefeated at 11-0, the 26-year-old star is certainly making a gamble by giving up size against an athlete who routinely weighs over 300 pounds. Most recently, he was scheduled to fight Darren Till but ultimately withdrew over fears of a cheater head kick.

Stay tuned for further updates to the Misfits: “Beauty vs. The Beast” card as they’re announced.
