Former Bucs edge rusher signs with the Eagles

· Yahoo Sports

For the third time in a little over a year, former Bucs edge rusher Joe Tryon-Shoyinka is on his way to a new team.

The former Washington Husky signed a free agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles for one-year as they look to add some pass rush help. The move will not replace Jaelen Phillips, who left the Eagles for the Carolina Panthers to create a headache for the Bucs. Instead, he will likely just be a rotational piece and not be used in a major role.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport was the first to report the news of the signing.

We mentioned that he has made the rounds in the last year; it all started with signing with the Cleveland Browns last free agency cycle. From there, he was traded to the Chicago Bears, and now he finds himself heading to Philadelphia. He has not established himself as the player the Bucs thought he would, but teams know there is value in him being apart of the defense.
