Bhopal News: 25-Year-Old Young Biker Dies After Hit By Vehicle

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old man injured in a hit-and-run accident in Gandhi Nagar area has died during treatment, said Gandhi Nagar police on Friday.

According to police, the deceased, Vijay Nath, a resident of Khajuri Sadak, worked in the private sector.

The accident occurred about five days ago when he was riding from Gandhi Nagar towards Lalghati with his younger brother following on another motorcycle.

Near the service road leading to Shanti Nagar Bridge, close to Mubarakpur Bridge, a speeding car allegedly hit his motorcycle from behind.

The impact threw him on the road, causing severe head injuries. His brother, with the help of bystanders, rushed him to Hamidia Hospital, where he died late Thursday night during treatment.

Police have registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for post-mortem. Earlier, a case had been filed against an unidentified car driver. Following his death, additional charges are being added. CCTV footage from the area is being examined to identify the vehicle.

Garbage truck overturns

In another accident on Friday morning, a BMC garbage collection truck overturned after being hit by a speeding car near Airport Road.

The truck driver, Sohail Khan, a resident of Karbala Road in Kohefiza, was transporting women sanitation workers when a white Sedan collided with the vehicle, causing it to overturn. The driver and the workers sustained injuries and were given medical treatment. Police have registered a case against an unidentified driver and launched a search operation.
