The North Carolina Tar Heels finally found their next head coach as Mike Malone is being tabbed as the guy to replace Hubert Davis. UNC is reportedly hiring Malone just a day before the transfer portal opens up on Tuesday, hopefully getting on track for roster construction.
But before the portal opens, the Tar Heels have seen a few players already enter their names in.

After Isaiah Denis and Jaydon Young both entered their names in, another guard is heading to the transfer portal as well. On Monday, guard Derek Dixon is entering the transfer portal, making the decision just a few hours after the report of Malone taking the job.

The Virginia native committed to UNC as a four-star prospect under Hubert Davis. He began the year on the bench for the first 17 games but became the starter following the Cal game on January 17th.
He appeared in all 33 games for UNC, averaging 6.5 points, 2.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game.
The transfer portal will officially open up on Tuesday.
