HUNTER: Child sex killers and rapists facing execution and castration

· Toronto Sun

What do you do with a vile degenerate like serial child rapist Floyd Lee Cathron?

Visit rouesnews.click for more information.

If you’re the state of Louisiana , you castrate him. There is no cure for the 61-year-old backwoods rape-o whose latest victim was a teenage family member.

Castration by surgery or chemical for the pedo killer? Doesn’t matter. It’s up to Floyd. The Shreveport DA pointed out that Cathron’s heinous record of sexually assaulting children is decades long; a multitude of rape and incest convictions speckle his rap sheet.

Caddo District Judge Ramona Emanuel agreed that, yes, castration will be a part of Cathron’s 40-year prison buffet. The classic Canadian courthouse chestnut was offered in defence: It was “cruel and unusual.”

Sadly for Cathron, he’s not in the Great White North, where one of our Justin  Trudeau-appointed  legalists would have made sure he was out of the slammer lickety split. Or at least serve his time under a least onerous regime.

Death penalty for killer?

Meanwhile, about 350 km due west from Shreveport in Fort Worth, Texas, a child sex killer named Tanner Horner has pleaded guilty to raping and murdering Athena Strand.

She was seven.

There is no army of social workers, activist judges or woke politicians that can save the 250-pound, 34-year-old former FedEx driver. Like Floyd Lee Cathron, there are two doors but Horner has no choice in either, rather poor option.

If he’s lucky, he will rot in a Lone Star State Prison. The other side of the coin is the big adios, the night train to Nowheresville. In that scenario Horner will be strapped to a gurney in the Huntsville death house and executed courtesy of a toxic cocktail.

Generally, I’m against the death penalty and I’ll cite my friend and colleague Brian Lilley here, who noted his opposition as a result of government incompetence. And I agree.

Tanner Horner is an exception to my rule

But Tanner Horner is special. He is the walking, talking embodiment of why capital punishment exists.

To detail the horrors Horner made that small, smiling child endure is simply too monstrous to detail. At the moment, a jury in Texas is mulling whether he lives or dies.

As for castration, ask any cop who has worked in child sex crimes and they will tell you flat out, 99% of the time pedophiles (or “minor attracted persons” in faculty lounge parlance) can’t be cured. No doubt, there will be a 25-year-old criminology undergrad who knows everything about everything there ever was to know, who will tell you otherwise.

We do not punish pedos

A needle and castration are a far cry from Canada’s sympathetic dealings with child sex killers and assorted other perverts.

Remember Tori Stafford? The 8-year-old Woodstock girl was abducted, raped and murdered by white trash scum Michael Rafferty and his idiot girlfriend, Terri-Lynne McClintic. We’re in toss-away-the-key territory, right?

Nope.

In 2018, McClintic was transferred from big girl prison to the cozy confines of the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge in Saskatchewan. The sex killer was moved because, uh, she self-identified as an Indigenous person which was widely disputed – by her family. Under massive public pressure, the feds returned her to Grand Valley.

Rafferty and McClintic were primo candidates for the death penalty but, alas …

Still, she was eligible for the old “faint hope” gambit in 2024 but didn’t exercise it. She will be eligible for parole in five short years, in 2031. Think about that. Her partner in crime, Rafferty, can apply for parole in 2034.

Whether either gets sprung is another matter, as defenders of a piss poor system like to reassure us.

There are no crimes more vile, more repulsive in the Canadian Criminal Code than sexually assaulting children or killing them.

A country that doesn’t have the moral clarity to understand that is doomed.
