As a result, the Orange and Blue now finds itself among the top 10 teams in the Rivals 2027 industry football team recruiting rankings, right at No. 10. That puts them between a pair of fellow SEC schools — the ninth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs and 11th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels.
The first score of the week came on Wednesday, when five-star interior offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller gave his verbal pledge to Florida, followed by a commitment from four-star quarterback Davin Davidson the following day. The Gators capped off the recruiting coup by flipping four-star cornerback Aamaury Fountain from the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday.
Those three, plus previous commitments from four-star cornerback Amare Nugent, four-star wide receiver Tramond Collins and three-star tight end Jackson Ballinger, bring the total number of pledges to six. That gives Jon Sumrall and his staff a score of 91.288 with an average of 91.29 according to Rival's rating system; the average NIL payout is listed at $194,000.
Florida is one of a total of eight SEC programs listed among the top 25 in the rankings, headlined by the Texas A&M Aggies at No. 1. The Gators are also joined by a pair of fellow Sunshine State schools — the sixth-ranked Miami Hurricanes and 24th-ranked Florida State Seminoles — in that cohort.
