DETROIT – The Milwaukee Brewers will have a major challenge on their hands as they close out their interleague series against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park on Thursday afternoon, April 23.

That's because opposing Brewers right-hander Brandon Sproat (0-1, 6.88) will be up against Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal (3-2, 2.08), the two-time defending American League Cy Young Award winner.
With Milwaukee scheduled to square off against defending National League Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday at American Family Field, it will mark just the second time in baseball history a team will face defending Cy Young Award winners in consecutive games.
The Boston Red Sox are the only other team to have done so, when they faced Skubal and Chris Sale of the Atlanta Braves on May 14 and 16 of last season.
