Vikings select OL Caleb Tiernan in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft

It has been a whirlwind 24-hour stretch for the Minnesota Vikings and their fans. During day two, Minnesota would ship out Jonathan Greenard for a pair of thirds, one of which is no. 98 overall. The Vikings would take DT Caleb Banks, LB Jake Golday, and DT Domonique ahead of pick 97, where they would take Caleb Tiernan, tackle out of Northwestern.

Tiernan is a monster of a man, standing 6'7 almost 320 lbs. He's athletic and brings a ton of experience to the table.

Shorter arms make you wonder where he will play in the NFL, if he will stay at tackle or kick inside to guard. It is always a plus to get depth on the offensive line, and that appears to be the plan here. Spending day two picks on depth pieces may not be the best decision, but he does have potential if he were to kick inside.
