Three-star offensive tackle commits to Penn State

· Yahoo Sports

The Penn State Nittany Lions have received a commitment from three-star offensive tackle David Tarawallie, who announced the news on Thursday via his social media.

Tarawallie is from Painesville, Ohio, and picked Penn State over the Michigan State Spartans, USF Bulls, Cincinnati Bearcats, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He was set to officially visit all four programs, but a day after they extended him a scholarship offer, Tarawallie committed to the Nittany Lions.

He is ranked as the No. 598 overall player and No. 53 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot-5.5, 260-pounder is also the No. 23 player from Ohio. He is their fourth offensive line commitment, joining three-star offensive tackle Ryan Robbins and three-star interior offensive line prospects Owen Reilly and Jon Sassic.

Tarawallie is the second commit that head coach Matt Campbell has landed in May as they continue to climb the recruiting class rankings. They now have the No. 6 class in the country and the No. 3 class in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports. Four of their fifteen commits are four-star prospects, and all of their commitments have come since March 28.
