The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has officially expanded its membership with the acceptance of three new institutions, and Wor-Wic Community College was one of the institutions that was granted membership. According to the school, they will begin offering men's and women's golf and men's and women's cross country at the Division II level beginning in the 2027-28 academic year.

"This is a transformative moment for Wor-Wic and the communities we serve,” said Deborah Casey, Ph.D., president Wor-Wic Community College in a statement. “By introducing athletics, we are not only enhancing the student experience, but also strengthening regional pathways, connecting education, discipline, teamwork and ultimately, workforce and transfer success.”

The NJCAA board of regents approved the recommendation of the membership committee during the April 2026 NJCAA convention in Kansas City. Along with Wor-Wic, Hudson County Community College in Jersey City, N.J., and Valley Forge Military College in Wayne, Pa., were added to the association. The Wor-Wic Dolphins will be in NCJAA region 20.
