Southampton have asked for more time to investigate claims that the club were 'spying' on Middlesbrough's training ahead of their Championship play-off semi-final last week.
Boro claimed that one of Southampton's performance analysts had been observing their training from a slope looking down at the club's training ground and potentially recording it.

The Saints have been charged by the English Football League and have 14 days to respond.
"Given the intensity of the fixture schedule and the short turnaround between matches, we have requested time to complete that process thoroughly and responsibly," Southampton CEO Phil Parsons said about the charge, after underlining that the club had been co-operating with the EFL.
"We understand the discussion and speculation that has followed over recent days, but we also believe it is important that the full context is established before conclusions are drawn."
The first game at the Riverside finished goalless with Southampton hosting Middlesbrough in the semi-final second leg this evening.
