Texas State softball defeated Florida A&M on Saturday to stay alive in the Gainesville Regional. The action continues into the late afternoon, as a rematch against Georgia Tech will decide which team will compete with Florida for a spot in the Super Regionals.

The Yellowjackets won the first go-around, shutting down the Bobcats' offense for a 2-1 win. But the Texas State bats picked up some momentum against FAMU, racking up 11 hits.

Florida held Georgia Tech to four hits Saturday morning in an 8-0 run-rule win, resting pitcher Madalyn Johnson. The Bobcats struggled against Johnson on Friday, but the Yellowjackets had similar problems against Bobcats ace Madison Azua, who held them to one earned run and two hits.
The winner needs to defeat Florida twice on Sunday to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals. The Gators have looked dominant thus far, shutting out and run-ruling both of their opponents.
