Dominance inside the circle became routine for Addy Ewing this spring.

Whether closing out games, silencing opposing lineups or stacking wins at a remarkable pace, the Owasso native emerged as one of the top pitchers in NCAA Division II softball, and postseason honors quickly followed.

Angelo State University junior pitcher Addy Ewing was named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-South Central Region First Team following a standout season for the Rambelles.

Ewing also earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Second Team recognition.

Pitching in one of Division II softball’s toughest regions, Ewing compiled a perfect 17-0 record with a 2.43 earned-run average and 4 saves while helping lead Angelo State throughout the season.

Opposing hitters struggled to generate consistent offense against her, managing just a .245 batting average across 118.2 innings pitched.

Strikeouts also came in bunches, as Ewing totaled 78 during the season.

Recognition from the D2CCA and NFCA adds to an already decorated postseason for the kinesiology major, who was previously selected to the All-Lone Star Conference First Team.
