The 2027 summer scouting report on Aaron Scott Jr. is a unique one, as Scott struggled to break into this starting group, as Ohio State had plenty of standout corners during his two seasons there. He would feature in garbage time or in dime packages. What shows is that Scott is quicker than quick, with good acceleration to close downhill on a ball carrier. Lengthy cornerback with a nice wingspan to combat high-point catches.
He has the length to press on the line of scrimmage, but lacks the strength to really make it worth his while. When matched up with a bigger receiver, he can get pushed back out of his press, leaving him to play on his heels at the start. His acceleration helps him play better in zone coverage, as his backpedal in man coverage can be choppy and his pad height elevated.
