What is the biggest question for Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty in 2026?

· Yahoo Sports

Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty was on the precipice of rushing for 1,000 yards in 2025 and is in a better situation to help him reach the feat in 2026. The Raiders have an improved offensive structure heading into next season, which will aid Jeanty in his progression as a second-year veteran.

According to CBS Sports’ Jared Dubin, the biggest question surrounding Jeanty for next season is how much of his play as a rookie can be blamed on a bad situation.

“Like [Cam] Ward, Jeanty experienced a terrible situation during his rookie season, working behind a decrepit offensive line in perhaps the worst offensive environment in the league. With Klint Kubiak, Tyler Linderbaum and more in the fold, things should be better this year. Can Jeanty's production follow?”

Linderbaum is one of the best run-blocking centers in the NFL. He received an 83.2 run-blocking grade by Pro Football Focus for the 2025 season, which was fourth-highest among all centers in the league.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks won the Super Bowl last season, thanks in part to the sophisticated play-calling of then-offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who is now at the helm of the Raiders. His offensive acumen figures to put Jeanty in position to increase his average yards per carry next season.

A combination of the improved offensive line along with Kubiak’s coaching will enable Jeanty to be more productive in 2026, though the 22-year-old will need to also take the next step in year two.
