The Boston Red Sox have struggled to hit for power this year, ranking 29th in home runs and 26th in slugging percentage. However, that doesn't mean they can't hit.

The Red Sox bludgeoned the Atlanta Braves 8-0 at Fenway Park on Wednesday, rapping out 15 hits as all nine of their starters notched at least one knock.

Incredibly, 14 of those hits were singles. The only one that wasn't was their final hit of the evening -- Jarren Duran's solo shot to lead off the bottom of the eighth.

Racking up 15 hits and having only one of them go for extra bases is incredibly unusual, especially at Fenway Park, which is one of the best parks for doubles and triples in the Major Leagues.

In fact, Boston hadn't had a game with at least eight runs, 15 hits and no more than one extra-base hit since April 13, 1986, according to Stathead.

That speaks to how the 2026 Red Sox are built. They don't have a ton of pop, but they can still score runs the old-fashioned way with hits, walks and stolen bases.

That type of offense hasn't been very effective this year, but it certainly was on Wednesday.
