Kaizer Chiefs players will win the league with a ‘real coach’, says club legend

Kaizer Chiefs legend Wiliam Shongwe feels a top class coach will win the league with Amakhosi.
The former goalkeeper said that Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze did a great job to help Chiefs to third place in the Betway Premiership.

He felt the management made the right choice by parting ways with the two co-coaches.
Shongwe says Kaizer Chiefs need ‘a real coach’
“We are saying ‘Thank You’, at least the management was very decisive about this one,” Shongwe told KickOff.
“I know they are the type of management that likes to drag things.
“But this time around I’m happy they were very decisive.
“But we do thank the two co-coaches for the job they’ve done because it’s been some time the club has been in this level.”
Kaizer Chiefs are searching for a new coach having parted ways with caretakers coaches, Ben Youssef and Kaze.
“But if two assistant coaches can be able to help Chiefs to get this far, then a real coach can win a league with this team,” Shongwe added.
“If the two assistants can help Chiefs to do this well, then a head coach will take Chiefs to the Champions League standard.”
Currently, Kaizer Chiefs are without a coach but the likes of Manqoba Mngqithi and Pitso Mosimane have emerged as front runners.
In the past 10 years, Amakhosi have changes coaches 10 times and have only won just one trophy which is the Nedbank Cup.
