Sophia Puccia received nearly 2,000 votes. The Penfield flag football senior threw 6 passes for touchdowns and ran for 4 touchdowns during two wins for the Patriots, the Section V Class A tournament final and semifinal.
Boys Athlete of the Week
Ryland Dunham received over 6,000 votes. The Geneva lacrosse player picked up nine goals and one assist in the Panthers’ section quarterfinal victory over Batavia-Notre Dame.
During the spring season, the polls launched on Mondays at democratandchronicle.com to determine the Athlete of the Week from the previous week’s top performances. Your vote determined who was honored as Section V’s best.
