The Los Angeles Angels don't have a lot going for themselves right now. While they came out solid to start the season, it's been a different story over the past month.
Injuries, inconsistencies on offense, bullpen struggles, and poor defense have really dragged this team down. They go into Thursday's games with a 27-42 record, which places them last in the American League West.
However, there is something to look forward to if you're a Nats fan, and that is the upcoming draft. Washington was awarded the No. 12 pick, and there is sure to be some elite talent to be had here.

The Angels have been a team that has relied on college talent in the draft over the last few years. The last time they took a high school player was back in 2018 when they selected outfielder Jordyn Adams with pick No. 17.
But that trend could change as the Angels could shake things up. According to The Athletic's Keith Law, he predicts the Halos will select Florida prep pitcher Gio Rojas.
"Rojas has settled in as the consensus top prep arm in the class, and this may be his floor, although I think he's Plan B or C for teams in the top 10."
Rojas has established himself as the top high school pitcher in the class and one of the best arms in the entire draft class.
He can command his 98 mph fastball well, and that pairs nicely with his sweeping slider that misses bats at a great clip, while also having a changeup that he hides in his back pocket.
There's no guarantee that Rojas will be available when the Angels get on the clock, but if he is, it's going to be hard for the front office to pass up on him.
