Petr Cech is always going to be one of the first names that comes to mind in the realm of Czech football.

The goalkeeper, who suited up when the nation played as the Czech Republic, had that signature head gear after an early-career head injury.

Czechia is back at the World Cup for the 2026 edition in North America, but Cech won't be there.

He actually isn't even playing soccer anymore, although he's still an athlete.

Where is Petr Cech?

Cech has transitioned from the pitch to the ice. He's an ice hockey goalie in the second tier of British hockey.

He plays for the Haringey Huskies in the NIHL Division 2 South. And don't worry, no one else has heard of that team, either.

Cech apparently likes stopping shots. At age 44, he apparently thinks it makes more sense to do that on ice.

Cech last suited up for the Czech national team in 2016.

He concluded his professional career on the pitch in 2019 with Arsenal.

Pretty much as soon as he left that net, he moved onto the ice, and he keeps on playing hockey.

Cech is generally regarded as one of the greatest goalies in the history of football.

No, he doesn't have that same ability in the ice hockey net, but at 6-foot-5 with world class reflexes, he's not half bad, either.
