Jun. 15—BEMIDJI — Jackson Fogelson needed his best, and he brought it.

Fogelson tied with Bemidji State's Teagan LaPlante and North Dakota State's Carter White. North Dakota's Joe Kortan and Drew Gumlia each shot a 71 to take one of the six qualifying spots.

Fogelson is far and away the youngest of the qualifiers. Engel graduated from Bemidji State in 2024, while Petry played his senior season at NDSU this season, three years after transferring from BSU. Meanwhile, Fogelson is entering his first year of high school.

Among a bevy of BTCC regulars and Birchmont Golf Tournament players, BHS rising junior Beckett Grand finished 5-over par with a 77. Jeff Thompson shot a 79, and Chris Hennum shot an 80. Ryan Daman rounded out the Bemidji representatives with an 82.
