Steelers sign former Panthers linebacker

The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing linebacker Jacoby Windmon, per Adam Schefter.

Windmon has appeared in nine games over the last two seasons with the Carolina Panthers, totaling 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He spent the 2026 UFL season with the Columbus Aviators, registering 3.5 sacks.

Windmon spent a brief period on the Steelers’ practice squad in 2025, signing with the team on October 8 and being released on October 28. He had another brief stint in Pittsburgh in October 2024, signing to the practice squad before being snagged by the Panthers.

In 41 collegiate games with UNLV and Michigan State, Windmon totaled 233 tackles and 27 sacks.
