The Celtics will have to trade Jaylen Brown to bring Antetokounmpo to Boston, and the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly don't want Brown. They would seemingly prefer younger players and draft picks. The Celtics could ship Brown to a third team and let that team send Milwaukee assets.
The Bucks have noted that their preference is to trade Antetokounmpo before Tuesday's NBA Draft, and Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley proposed this three-team trade, involving nine players, for the Celtics to land the two-time MVP.
- Milwaukee Bucks receive: Onyeka Okongwu, Jonathan Kuminga, Zaccharie Risacher, Corey Kispert, No. 8 pick (via ATL), No. 27 pick (via BOS) and 2028 first-round pick (via ATL, CLE or UTA)
- Boston Celtics receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Buddy Hield
- Atlanta Hawks receive: Jaylen Brown, Myles Turner and AJ Green
The Hawks have reportedly shown interest in Brown in the past, so they may be willing to be the third team in this type of deal. They would be able to acquire him without giving up Jalen Johnson or Dyson Daniels in this mock trade.
Meanwhile, the Bucks would land an array of young players and picks they could build around. With a deal like this, their rebuild may not take as long as many think.
For the Celtics, they would get Antetokounmpo to pair with Jayson Tatum. The two could form one of the best duos in the NBA and bring another championship to Boston.
