Surveillance footage depicts the moments that led up to the arrest of a man accused in a number of anti-Muslim attacks across Edinburgh, Scotland late last week.
On Friday, five people were injured in various incidents across Edinburgh, according to Scottish police, who are currently investigating the case alongside their counter-terrorism counterparts.
In the video obtained by the BBC , a shirtless man can be seen driving erratically before ditching his vehicle and attacking a Black man and a delivery driver, all while smoking a cigarette and brandishing two large knives.

Police in Scotland said two of the injured men had been at a prayer session at a mosque in Broomhouse about 30 minutes before they were attacked.
The CCTV footage shows a man swerving a dark car across a bicycle lane before he gets out of the car and runs towards a man on an e-bike, then disappears out of frame.
The topless ma nthen returns to his car briefly before leaving it again and running towards a Black man who had just exited a streetcar.
The suspect then hit the Black man with two large knives in his hand. The victim can be seen running away as the suspect chases him.
The man then punches the door of a pizzeria on Leith Walk while pedestrians can be seen running away. The half-naked man is then seen attacking a delivery driver, who falls off his e-bike.
Police then arrive on the scene and arrest the suspect.

Non-life-threatening injuries
Scottish police told the BBC that of the five injured, four were treated in hospital. They noted none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Two victims were age 22, while the others were 24, 27 and 39, police stated.
Police believe the suspect travelled from Sighthill to a gas station on Telford Rd., where a taxi driver was confronted and his vehicle was damaged with an axe being thrown through its window.
Videos circulating on social media show the topless man wreaking havoc at other locations in Edinburgh, BBC reported, including footage of the topless man smashing the windshield of a black car before entering a gas station and pushing shelves over.
Another video shows police holding the 36-year-old man on the ground, who screams that he is “protecting the country.”

Police said the man has been charged in connection to the attacks, although the charges aren’t yet known.
Assistant Chief Const. Catriona Paton told the BBC that it was a “shocking attack,” stating she wanted to send a “clear message of support to all our communities that there is no place for racism or faith-based hate in a Scotland which is at its best when we stand together.”
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the attacks, stating the suspect was likely motivated by “anti-Muslim hatred.”
“The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. I will not tolerate this – he will face full force of the law,” Starmer said, per Al Jazeera .
