All teams are sorted by the season in which they competed.

Harrisburg volleyball

Harrisburg ripped off one of the best seasons in state history, finishing No. 9 in the AVCA/USA Today Super 25 Poll. The Tigers finished 35-2, won 24 consecutive matches to end the season and captured their fourth consecutive Class AA state championship.

Harrisburg also finished 10th in the Durango Fall Classic, an event with some of the top teams in the country competing. The Tigers went 6-2 at the event, including beating eventual champion Marymount (CA).

Three-time South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year Gabi Zachariasen and Nebraska commit Josalyn Samuels led the team, while Bergen Stiff, Emma Masselink, Julia Masselink, Kennedy Kokenge and Lindsay Langer there to fill high-level roles.

Zachariasen paced the team with 523 kills and 81 aces to go with 215 digs. Samuels rattled off 1,042 assists 36 aces, Stiff had 251 kills and 70 total blocks and Langer notched 438 digs.

Harrisburg soccer

Harrisburg went 16-1-1 and got to avenge its lone loss of the season with a 3-1 win over O'Gorman in the Class AA state championship game. The Tigers held three opponents scoreless in the postseason leading up to the state title game.

That defense carried Harrisburg throughout the entire season. The Tigers conceded just four goals all season, all coming to O'Gorman. Three of those were in a 3-1 loss on Sept. 29.

Senior Nyah Aware topped the Tigers' scoring with 15 goals, senior Auburn Barrett posted 11 markers and senior Taylor Syverson added eight goals.

O'Gorman basketball

O'Gorman continued its dominance over Class AA basketball, beating an unbeaten Brandon Valley team in the state championship game for its third consecutive title. The Knights got retribution on the Lynx for winning both teams' season opener on Dec. 11.

O'Gorman only had two wins inside double figures all season — the state semifinal against Sioux Falls Washington and the state championship game.

Senior Sydney Terveen paced the Knights with 18.9 points per game while shooting over 50% from the field. Junior Ruby Moore, a South Dakota State commit, scored 15.5 points per game to go with 4.2 assists and 4.2 steals per night. Sophomore Ellie Meyer contributed 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per night.

Senior Sadie Mehrman and sophomore Hayden Weber rounded out the starting lineup, with sophomore London Backes and junior Alual Akoi providing bench depth.

Sioux Falls Jefferson softball

Sioux Falls Jefferson posted one of the most dominant seasons possible, going 23-0 to win its second consecutive Class AA state championship. The Cavaliers didn't allow a run all postseason.

Jefferson now had a 33-game winning streak. Three of those wins came over Sioux Falls Washington, its opponent in the last two state title games.

South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year Macy Bryant topped the offense, recording a .784 batting average with a 2.399 OPS to go with 20 doubles, eight triples, eight home runs, 41 RBIs and 16 stolen bases. Junior Tya Devericks had one of the top pitching seasons in the state on top of that. She tossed 80 innings at a 0.88 ERA with a 0.76 WHIP and 112 strikeouts.

Add in seniors Brooklyn Herrera, Ayleah Johnson and Riley Fodness, juniors Lauryn Bullis and Bella Sorum and sophomore Makenzie Bierman, and this Jefferson team was one for the ages.

Sioux Falls Christian track and field

The Chargers continued their dominance over Class A competition, winning a state championship by 78 points over second-place Lennox. It was Sioux Falls Christian's fifth consecutive team state championship.

The team took home 11 individual and relay state championships, with Halle Braun and Ellie Maddox contributing six of those. The duo also combined for five meet records, and Braun won two all-class gold medals.

Sydney Schaap also won the javelin state championship and 4x100-meter, 4x200-meter, 4x400-meter and 4x800-meter relay teams all finished first.

The Chargers also won seven Dakota Relays titles.
