As a guest on Tuesday’s episode of Bussin’ With the Boys, Darnold detailed how limiting his turnovers is one of the areas of his game that he is looking to refine next season for the betterment of himself and the team.

“I think another area to grow is just the turnovers,” Darnold said. “I thought I had too many turnovers last year. So just continuing to, kind of like I did in the playoffs, but just like, continuing to have the right mindset on first and second down, keep the big boys happy and get the ball out of my hands.”

Darnold recorded 14 interceptions in 2025, his most since his rookie year in 2018. The California native also led the NFL in fumbles last season with 11.

The turnovers were certainly a problem for Darnold, despite his impressive play overshadowing his giveaways. Reducing costly turnovers will position him to help Seattle vie for a second consecutive Super Bowl victory next season.
