What is new with the San Francisco 49ers?

Below are a few stories from the last week about the 49ers for Cardinals fans to know about.

Dr. Kyle Shanahan of Football University?

Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is a Super Bowl champion and has accomplished something no other players has done, having two consecutive 14-win seasons as a starting quarterback. He credits his time with the 49ers as a backup quarterback as the jumpstart to his career. He said he got his Ph.D. in football in his one season with the 49ers.

49ers legend is a published author

Legendary 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis has published a children's book, inspired by his life story.

Filling the top 100

While the "NFL Top 100" has revealed only 10 players so far, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco released his full list of his top 100 players. The 49ers are scattered throughout the list, as they have six players, tied for the most of any team on the list.
