Orlando Pirates have already completed eight signings ahead of the 2026/27 season as they continue to strengthen their squad under new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.

The Buccaneers have brought in Mthokozisi Mthethwa, Mthetheleli Mthiyane, Sbangani Zulu, Bohale Ngwato, Ghampani Lungu, Neo Rapoo, Aphier Baliti and Matome Mmolai as they reshape the squad for the new campaign.
Pirates have focused on reinforcing several areas of the team, particularly midfield, while also adding quality in defence and on the wings.
Rapoo is a product of SuperSport United’s academy and has represented South Africa at youth international level. The talented defender arrives with a reputation as one of the country’s brightest young prospects.
Baliti, who primarily operates at left-back, adds versatility, athleticism and top-flight experience to the Buccaneers’ defence. However, he will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Siwelele FC to continue his development with regular first-team football.
Orlando Pirates adding to defence and midfield
Mmolai is regarded as a technically gifted midfielder who is comfortable in possession and capable of influencing matches in both attacking and defensive phases. His arrival further strengthens Pirates’ midfield options ahead of the new season.
Ngwato is also viewed as a potential replacement for Relebohile Mofokeng, who is widely expected to secure a move abroad in the coming weeks.
Orlando Pirates have already begun their pre-season preparations, with Ouaddou working to integrate the new signings as the club gears up for the 2026/27 campaign.They have already announced six departures including Sipho Mbule.
