Phil Steele publishes a preseason college football magazine that is an absolute must read if you are a college football fan or if you like to wager monies on 18 to 22 year old athletes.

His annual publication is touted as the most accurate in the business, and this year he chose six Ole Miss Rebels on his preseason All American team. In my opinion, Steele bases much of his predictions on previous season accomplishment and projects growth from veteran players.

All of the Ole Miss selections have played multiple seasons of college football, but there is one new name for the Rebels roster in the mix.

Phil Steele Ole Miss All Americans

  • Kewan Lacy, first team RB
  • Lucas Carneiro, first team K
  • Patrick Kutas, third team OL
  • Will Echoles, third team DL
  • Suntarine Perkins, third team LB
  • Keaton Thomas, fourth team LB

No clue why Trinidad Chambliss isn’t on this list, but I could hazard a guess that his eligibility in question led to Steele removing him from any lists out of caution during publication. Or maybe he just doesn’t think he’s one of the best college QB’s after leading Ole Miss to a national semifinal. Either way, maybe this is a little bit of an eyeopener for Chambliss to prove everyone wrong again.
