The Detroit Red Wings apparently aren't opposed to that, with one caveat: There's only one guy on the Wild they really want to make sure is in the trade.
According to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos, a Detroit-Minnesota trade with Larkin would hinge on Matt Boldy.
"The Red Wings would have no problem trading Dylan Larkin to Minnesota if the Wild were prepared to part with Matt Boldy," Kypreos wrote as part of a new article on Wednesday. "Other than Boldy, there is nothing else Detroit GM Steve Yzerman is too interested in."

From Detroit's perspective, it makes sense -- one Olympian for another.
For Minnesota, though, the point of trading for Larkin wouldn't be to swap one current contributor for another. They'd probably want Larkin for future assets, allowing the Wild to have a stronger team in the here and now.
Kypreos goes on to write that he thinks Larkin ought to prepare to play next season with the Red Wings, because the insider doesn't see a lot of movement on the trade front.
The real issue is that Larkin only has three reported teams (Minnesota, Vegas, Florida) that he'd go to, and so the Red Wings will have a hard time arriving at a deal that they like.
If Larkin expanded his list, things could change.
For now, though, at least as far as the Wild are concerned in Larkin negotiations, it's Boldy or bust.
