Peyton Watson is a restricted free agent after his best season with the Denver Nuggets.

That's going to create some interesting decisions for the Nuggets, and maybe the rest of the NBA, as the calendar rolls through the first few days of July.

The first question is whether another team is going to give Watson an offer sheet.

The Nuggets, since Watson is an RFA, can match any offer made to him. It would be up to a team with cap space to give a big possibility his way, then forcing the Nuggets to make a decision.

Watson could be worth it, whether it's for a new team or Denver, after a special breakout campaign.

"Watson helped carry the Nuggets when Nikola Jokić was sidelined for 16 games with a knee injury," Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus wrote in his free agent rankings. "Through 15 games in January, Watson averaged 21.9 points per game and shot 46.2 percent from three-point range, compared to 14.9 points and 41.7 percent from three on the season."

Watson's talent creates the potential for a domino effect.

The first domino would be an offer sheet.

Then, the Nuggets would have to decide whether to match.

And if they decide to match, that could lead to a Cam Johnson trade.

"The expectation is Denver finds a new home for Cam Johnson to make room for Watson," Pincus writes.

There could be further effects down the road with other teams if Johnson ends up getting dealt, too.

A lot is hinging on Watson, who is young and immensely talented and will be an impact player for years to come -- whether with the Nuggets or another team entirely.
