Saleem Ahmad takes additional charge as Ircon CMD

Saleem Ahmad, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), has been given the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Ircon International Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways.

A civil engineering graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, Ahmad has over 35 years of experience in the infrastructure and construction sector. His expertise spans the execution of large-scale infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, residential complexes and commercial developments.
Before taking over as CMD of RVNL, Ahmad served as Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Ltd. Earlier, he was Executive Director (Civil) at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and also held a position at Mumbai Port Trust.
Throughout his career, Ahmad has contributed to the development of sustainable infrastructure and has presented research papers at national and international forums. During his tenure at DMRC, he played a key role in designing and implementing last-mile connectivity solutions.
