According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), the “procedure” that Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala underwent on was to remove a metal plate from his foot.

The plate was inserted when Musiala has surgery to help repair a fibular fracture and dislocation that he suffered last summer at the Club World Cup during a collision with then-Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma:

The operation was to remove the metal plate that was in Musiala’s foot after his surgery last summer. It took place last Thursday. Musiala is now expected to be available for the beginning of preseason.

The good news for Musiala is that he might be finished the formal after-effects of the injury. However, the attacker is still not full out of the woods. Musiala has not looked right physically since the injury and has also suffered through some mental difficulties as well as he seeks to regain confidence in his speed, agility, and movement.
