3 Steelers we haven't heard enough about this offseason

· Yahoo Sports

In just two weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers will get back to work at training camp. It's been an up and down offseason with a rush of work in the beginning when new head coach Mike McCarthy was hired but things have been hired in the last month. In particular, we've heard nothing on these three Steelers and sometimes no news is bad news.

Offensive tackle - Broderick Jones

Jones spoke to the media at the start of offseason workouts and sounded like he was just going to keep working and continue to recover from his neck injury. But in the age of social media, it's disconcerting that there hasn't been any updates on Jones' recovery, social media video of workouts or anything. The team drafted Max Ihanachor as an insurance policy for the future but we are still waiting to see if Jones is on track to play at all this season.

Quarterback - Drew Allar

There are still a handful of rookies who remain unsigned with training camp just two weeks away. This includes four quarterbacks and one of those is Steelers rookie Drew Allar. Allar went through mincamps without a contract without issue but as he prepares for a position battle with Will Howard, he doesn't want to be a distraction.

Cornerback - Joey Porter Jr.

Of the three guys on this list, Joey Porter Jr. is the one we expected to hear from this offseason as he waits for a new contract. From the moment he was drafted, he's been operating with a chip on his shoulder after falling out of the first round so being the underpaid corner on the roster has to sting a little.
