Western Railway Launches ‘Manaswin’ For Frontline Employees

Western Railway’s Mumbai Central Division, in association with Project Mumbai, has launched ‘Manaswin’, a free mental health awareness initiative for its frontline employees. Organised under the guidance of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mumbai Central Division, the workshop is intended for employees working in high-pressure environments and playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Mumbai’s suburban railway network.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, the inaugural session was held at UCC Hall, DRM Office, in the presence of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations & Human Resources) and Divisional Commercial Manager (Passenger Marketing). Around 50 employees from the RPF, Commercial and Operating Departments participated in the session. The participants learnt simple breathing exercises to manage everyday stress and also took part in an energetic dance activity organised to help them relax and uplift their spirits. Complimentary mental health toolkits and smiley stress balls were also provided to the participants.

The workshops will continue till 29th July, 2026, enabling the maximum number of frontline employees of Mumbai Central Division to benefit from the initiative. Through simple stress-management techniques and engaging relaxation activities, ‘Manaswin’ aims to promote emotional well-being among the frontline employees across Mumbai Division.
