Video footage of the emotional sibling moment, shared on social media by FOX Sports, showed Keyne, who wore a red Spain jersey and clutched a piece of the World Cup goal net as a keepsake, racing toward his older brother and clapping his hands on the field at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

The pair were all smiles as Yamal picked up Keyne and gave him a massive hug.

One of Yamal’s two half-siblings, along with sister Baraa, Keyne is the son of Yamal’s mother, Sheila Ebana. Ebana was previously in a relationship with Yamal’s dad, Mounir Nasraoui, but they split in 2007 when Yamal was a young child. Ebana later remarried and welcomed Keyne in September 2022, The Athletic reported.

Yamal’s sweet bond with his younger brother has been a highlight of his games since the soccer player made his Barcelona debut in 2023. Keyne has also taken center stage throughout Spain’s road to the championship final.

A similar video went viral on July 14 after Yamal helped Spain’s men’s national team to victory over France in the semifinals.

Post-match footage of the heartfelt moment, shared by SportsCenter, showed Keyne running through the stands of Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to find his older sibling.

When Keyne reached Yamal with outstretched arms, the athlete picked him up and held him tightly in a sweet embrace, the fan-captured footage shows. The sibling duo, locked in a hug, then headed up through the stands together as others congratulated Yamal on Spain’s win.

Spain defeated Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, with the team securing their first win in the tournament since 2010 when they beat the Netherlands.

They dominated the Argentine national team with 12 shots on goal to their opponent’s zero. Spain also committed 21 fouls to Argentina’s 25, according to ESPN.

The match — which marked Yamal’s World Cup debut — remained scoreless through regulation until forward Ferran Torres got past star Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez in the 106th minute in overtime for a score of 1-0.
