Though this might not have been the most exciting game of the series, as the New York Mets made the first one. The Atlanta Braves have successfully avoided a sweep against their division rivals in a 1-0 win.

Once again, the hero of the day was Matt Olson, as he knocked in an RBI single in the top of the sixth to bring Jim Jarvis in for the first and only run of the night.

Chris Sale delivered as usual, pitching through six innings and only allowing two hits with nine strikeouts to add to his stat line. This also brought his ERA down to 2.08.

The problem throughout the series was the lack of strong starts. Atlanta caught their momentum later in all three games, which was too late to perform to the best of their abilities. A win is a win, but one can’t help but wonder if tonight’s was just an easy snag rather than one that was earned.

The game was nothing to write home about, but the Braves will be returning home to face the Washington Nationals, where they’ll look to clean up their offensive woes.

Until then, here’s an Olson RBI for your viewing pleasure.
