Hamilton cops looking for homicide suspect; Man sought in Mississauga stabbing

Hamilton Police are investigating a homicide after a man died from injuries sustained during an assault in May.

Police said officers responded on May 31 at about 11:20 a.m. to the Wentworth St. N.-Bristol St. area for reports of an assault.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a serious head injury. He was transported to hospital, where he remained until his death on July 30.
The victim’s family has requested that his name not be released at this time.
The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build. He was wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and a white bucket-style hat.

Man sought after Mississauga stabbing: Peel cops
Police are looking for a 34-year-old Brampton man in connection with a stabbing investigation in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police said officers attended a commercial unit at about 1:40 a.m. on Saturday in the Dixie Rd.-Aimoco Blvd. Area.
They arrived to find a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was rushed to a local trauma centre and was listed in stable condition.
Police are looking for Gregory Darling, who is described as Black, 5-foot-11 and having a Caribbean accent. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with red stripes and black shoes.
Cops said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are advised not to approach and to call 911 immediately if seen.
Investigators are urging Darling to seek legal counsel and surrender to police.

Pedestrian critically injured in Brampton
Peel cops said a pedestrian was critically injured in Brampton on Saturday night.
Peel Regional Police said they were called at about 9:20 p.m. to the eastbound lanes of Bovaird Dr., east of Hwy. 410, after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
Police said the pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
Cops said the vehicle remained at the scene.
