Algeria have parted ways with national team coach Vladimir Petkovic and his coaching staff by mutual agreement, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) said on Monday.

In a statement, the federation said the termination took effect immediately but did not give a reason for the decision.
The FAF praised Petkovic and his staff for their professionalism and commitment during their 29 months in charge of the Desert Foxes and wished them success in their future careers.
No successor was named.
The 62-year-old Swiss had signed a contract extension until July 2028 shortly before the World Cup, having guided Algeria back to the tournament for the first time in 12 years.
Algeria advanced from a group featuring Argentina, Austria and Jordan as one of the best third-placed teams, before losing 2-0 to Switzerland in the round of 32.
Before taking the job with the North Africans, Petkovic, who was born in Bosnia, coached the Switzerland national team, Young Boys Bern and Lazio among others.
